At StoryGold, we're building cutting-edge AI capable of automatically generating complex CAD designs from simple inputs. Our mission is to revolutionize how products are designed and built, and we're looking for passionate, creative minds to join us on this journey. We’re a venture backed startup based in San Francisco, California.

The Role

This isn't a typical software development job. You will be at the core of our AI training process, responsible for creating the high-quality data that fuels our models. You'll use your Python expertise to translate 2D images and schematics into programmatic 3D models using CadQuery. This role is ideal for a Python programmer who is excited to become a specialist in the intersection between engineering and CAD design.

Responsibilities

• Write Python code using the CadQuery library to generate precise, parametric 3D models

• Create and manage a dataset for training our AI

• Collaborate directly with our machine learning research team and CAD designers to refine data requirements and improve model performance

• Develop scripts and tools to automate and streamline the data creation workflow

• Proficiency in English

Nice-to-Haves:

• Any prior experience with CAD software

• Familiarity with 3D modeling concepts or geometric libraries

• An interest in generative AI
