We are seeking an Internal Audit Assistant Manager to join our team in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The role will be responsible for conducting risk-based operational, process, and financial audits, ensuring compliance with internal audit standards, and supporting continuous improvement of internal control and risk management systems.
General Qualifications
- University degree, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or Management Engineering,
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in process auditing within companies operating in the retail or manufacturing sectors,
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Internal Audit Standards,
- Advanced proficiency in English and Russian,
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
- Strong skills in reporting and task management, with analytical, research-oriented, solution-focused, and result-driven mindset,
- Dynamic, collaborative team player with a continuous improvement approach.
Job Description
- Conduct risk-based operational, process, and financial audits across production facilities in line with the approved audit plan,
- Analyze data gathered during audit activities, document findings, and prepare audit reports,
- Communicate audit results and recommendations to relevant departments, follow up on action plans, and contribute to process improvements,
- Assess and enhance the accuracy and reliability of internal practices, the effectiveness of internal controls, and risk management systems,
- Participate in review and investigation tasks requested by the Board of Directors and Senior Management, ensuring all work is conducted objectively and independently.
