Regional Manager – Kazakhstan (Retail Sector)
We are supporting our client, a leading retail brand, in the search for a dynamic, energetic, and highly motivated Regional Manager to oversee and grow their operations in Kazakhstan. The role will be responsible for approximately 10 retail stores and requires frequent regional travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, support and grow a portfolio of ~10 retail stores across the region.
- Lead, coach and motivate Store Managers to achieve sales targets, conversion rates, KPIs, and profitability goals.
- Ensure operational excellence and consistent execution of company standards.
- Provide hands-on leadership through regular store visits and on-site operational guidance.
- Full responsibility for P&L management, budgeting, expense control, and commercial performance.
- Analyze sales reports, trends and retail metrics; convert insights into actionable strategies.
- Ensure excellent customer experience, brand representation and visual merchandising standards.
- Oversee staffing, talent development, and motivation programs across store teams.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-store retail management.
- Strong command of retail mathematics (m² productivity, conversion, stock turnover, margin, traffic & basket metrics).
- Proven ability to drive performance, sales results and profitability.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, travel-intensive field environment.
- Fluent in Kazakh and Russian; English or Turkish is an advantage.
- Must reside in Almaty and travel frequently between stores.
