Senior Data Scientist – Computer Vision

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist with deep expertise in Computer Vision to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in both the Discovery and Implementation stages of our projects, collaborating closely with geologists and other stakeholders from the client side. Your work will directly impact the development and deployment of advanced image processing solutions in the geosciences domain.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with geologists and client-side experts during the Discovery stage to understand business needs, define project goals, and identify data-driven opportunities.

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of computer vision models for image processing and data extraction.

- Set up robust processes for image data collection, annotation, preprocessing, and management.

- Define and implement accuracy metrics to evaluate model performance, ensuring solutions meet business and scientific requirements.

- Facilitate regular communication and workshops with client stakeholders to ensure alignment, gather feedback, and drive project success.

- Document methodologies, results, and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision and machine learning, applying relevant techniques to solve complex problems.

Requirements:

- Proven experience (5+ years) in data science roles, with a strong focus on computer vision applications.

- Hands-on expertise in deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and image processing libraries (e.g., OpenCV, PIL).

- Demonstrated ability to design, train, and deploy computer vision models for real-world applications.

- Experience working in cross-functional teams and engaging with non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Experience in the geosciences or related fields is a plus.

- Python ecosystem and data science libraries (pandas, sklearn, numpy)

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

- Fluency in English (B1+)
