Deputy Chief Accountant

We are a fast-growing oil and gas trading group of company PANASIA GROUP, seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Deputy Chief Accountant and Senior Accountant to join our team remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
• Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
• Perform financial analysis and reporting for Management Review
• Revenue management and debtors control
• Analysing financial discrepancies and recommending effective resolutions
• Monitor cash flow and ensure relevant documentation for made transactions
• Conduct bank reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Implement and improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Providing guidance to other Accountants when needed
• Support for statutory audit, provide and prepare the necessary information for audit purposes, follow-up on audit findings and recommendations

Key Requirements:

• Fluency in both English and Russian languages
• Strong background in accounting with a minimum (5) years of experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles preferably in the gas and oil industry
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance & business
• Strong attention to details
• Solid foundation in accounting principles
• Proficient in accounting software.
• Ability to be proactive, detail-oriented, and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• English intermediate and above (written and verbal)
• Analytical mind and logical thinking
• Experienced user of MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas)
• Perfectionism
• Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
