Технический Суперинтендант (Танкеры) / Technical Superintendent

A Technical Superintendent is required for a full-time position in Turkey to oversee a fleet of tanker vessels.
This role involves relocation, and the company provides full relocation support, including a relocation package.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fleet Technical Management
• Analysis of the technical condition and operational performance of the assigned vessels (tankers).
• Organization and supervision of technical operations, including maintenance of systems and machinery.
• Ensuring continuous technical readiness of vessels for operation.

2. Repair Planning and Supervision
• Preparation and coordination of repair specifications.
• Monitoring deadlines, quality, and costs of dry-dock and routine repairs (including dockyard inspections).
• Planning and execution of preventive maintenance schedules and equipment overhaul.
• Coordination and approval of procurement.

3. Budgeting and Financial Control
• Development and oversight of vessel technical budgets (operations, repairs, procurement).
• Control of material and financial expenditures.

4. Documentation and Compliance
• Monitoring the validity of all vessel documentation and ensuring timely renewals.
• Verification of proper maintenance and storage of technical documentation.
• Coordination of vessel readiness for inspections (ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL).
• Development of inspection plans; participation in survey commissions, incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and acceptance of vessels after construction/repair.

5. Operational Support & Communication
• Technical monitoring and support of vessels during voyages.
• Interaction with ship crews, Masters, Chief Engineers, shipyards, and classification societies.
• Prompt response to emergencies and technical failures.

6. Crew Selection (Technical Aspect)
• Participation in assessing the technical competence of engineering candidates.
