Finance Director

We are looking for an experienced Finance Director to lead and oversee all financial activities of our Kazakhstan operations, including the Shared Service Center, Controlling, Treasury, Tax, ESG, IT and Digitalization.

The role is instrumental in supporting strategic decision-making, ensuring operational excellence, and driving financial performance in line with Group objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

• Advise the General Manager and Managing Board on financial topics relevant to business decisions.
• Drive Kazakhstan’s financial strategy in line with targets set by Group CEO, Group CFO and regional leadership.
• Ensure efficient use of resources, value creation, cost optimization, cash generation and risk control.

Financial Management & Reporting

• Lead all finance functions including SSC, accounting, controlling, treasury, tax, ESG, IT and digitalization.
• Ensure compliance with Group financial guidelines, IFRS, local GAAP, Tax Code and other regulations.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, forecasting and budgeting cycles.
• Approve financial reports, tender documentation, price analyses and contracts.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting and full compliance with local authorities.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, efficiency, transparency and digitalization.

Corporate Finance

• Oversee working capital, CAPEX, debt, taxes, budget and general accounting.
• Maintain stable cash flow management and ensure operational liquidity.
• Lead local finance workstreams in M&A, including due diligence and risk assessment.
• Manage insurances and provide risk alerts to the General Manager.

People & Communication

• Lead, develop and motivate the finance team, ensuring strong leadership culture and succession planning.
• Ensure efficient IT services and reliable SSC operations for all business lines.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or Finance.
• 10+ years of experience in middle or large-scale production or industrial companies.
• Minimum 4 years of management experience.
• Strong knowledge of international accounting standards and financial/management reporting.
• SAP experience is an advantage.
