Job Summary

The PMO is responsible for establishing and managing project governance, frameworks, and processes to ensure the successful delivery of all project phases within scope, time, and budget.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to lead the development and execution of a large-scale, multidisciplinary initiative. The PMO manages, facilitates, and administers project processes and workstreams; brings best practices; ensures alignment with project goals; and drives high management standards and efficient execution. The PMO oversees project portfolios, resource allocation, risk management, and provides ongoing support and reporting to ensure successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and ensure successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning, Strategy & Governance

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to support decision-making.
  • Establish PMO frameworks, policies, and procedures tailored to the project’s needs.
  • Define the project governance structure and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • Create standardized templates and tools for project planning, monitoring, and reporting.

2. Project Planning & Execution Support

  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress and milestones, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Support project managers and workstream leads with issue resolution and change-control processes.

3. Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare and deliver accurate, timely reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project steering committee meetings, reviews, and stakeholder updates.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of project documents, decisions, and communications.

4. Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, vendors, and relevant authorities.

5. Risk, Quality, Budget & Resource Management

  • Develop and maintain project risk and issue registers, ensuring mitigation plans are implemented.
  • Support quality assurance efforts through audits and health checks.
  • Track resource allocation, availability, and capacity across all workstreams.
  • Develop and manage the project budget to ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and optimization without compromising quality.

6. Team Leadership

  • Lead and motivate a cross-functional project team, including internal staff and external partners.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure team members have the resources and support needed to succeed.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

7. Tools & Systems Administration

  • Implement and maintain project management software.
  • Train team members on tools and methodologies to ensure effective adoption and use.

8. Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure that project processes and outputs meet organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement quality control processes and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance.

9. Operational Readiness

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare for project launch and long-term operational support.
  • Oversee transition planning to ensure a smooth handover to operational teams.
  • Develop and execute plans that ensure readiness for ongoing operations.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in project management.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale projects from initiation to completion.
  • Experience in highly regulated or complex operational environments is desirable.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and digital collaboration tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of project governance, risk management, and quality standards.
