Director of Marketing & Logistics CIS

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all sales operations and logistics execution across CIS, ensuring on-time, cost-effective, and compliant product delivery.
• Define and enforce standards for contract execution, dispatch, warehousing, and transport coordination.
• Lead performance management and analytics, consolidating operational data and presenting actionable insights to senior management.
• Optimize logistics costs and infrastructure through route planning, supplier management, and process automation.
• Ensure compliance and risk control across customs, safety, trade, and internal governance standards.
• Develop and mentor senior managers, fostering accountability, efficiency, and data integrity within the organization.
• Sponsor strategic initiatives in digitalization, capacity expansion, and ESG integration within logistics and sales operations.
• Lead a multi-site team covering dispatch, documentation, transport planning, and warehouse operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Supply Chain, or Economics.
• Minimum 10 years in industrial operations, metals/mining, or process manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior operational or commercial role.
• Proven success in sales operations, logistics, or supply-chain leadership in large-scale industrial or commodity environments.
• Fluent Russian and English (written and spoken).
• Kazakh language proficiency is an advantage.
• Expertise in industrial production flows and operational interfaces.
• Advanced use of ERP/MRP systems (SAP, 1C, Oracle) and logistics management tools (TMS/WMS).
• Strong proficiency in data analytics, cost modeling, and KPI dashboards (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Deep understanding of Incoterms 2020, customs, certification, and trade documentation.
• Experience in budgeting, cost control, and working-capital management.
• Familiarity with digital transformation, automation, and ESG frameworks in logistics.
• Deep operational understanding of production-to-market value chains within industrial or metals sectors.
• Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and present complex operational and financial data for executive decision-making.
• Strong organizational and process-management skills; disciplined approach to execution.
• Leadership capacity to build and motivate high-performance operational teams.
