This is a fully remote position, with a hybrid option if you’re based in Prague.

About the Role

Build and ship backend APIs and microservices that power our core AI features, designing the brains behind the system.

Your Superpowers

• 3+ years building ML/AI products in production
• Strong in Python and/or TypeScript (Node.js)
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code, testing is part of how you think
• Solid experience with LLMs, transformers, and NLP workflows
• Hands-on with agent systems, prompt design, memory, tool use, and structured output
• Know your way around LLM APIs, RAG pipelines, vector DBs, and hybrid search
• Comfortable designing and operating ML systems end-to-end - from infra to observability
• Familiar with SQL/NoSQL, CI/CD, Docker, and ideally Kubernetes
• Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership and gets things done
• Engineering mindset - with curiosity, structure, and a deep grasp of systems
• Lifelong learner, excited by new tools, ideas, and ways to build better tech
• Knowing how to communicate clearly, listen openly, and find common ground
• Product-first mindset, always considering how your work impacts the end user

What you'll do

• Build and ship backend APIs and microservices that power our core AI features
• Design the brains behind the system — agent workflows, memory, context, multi-agent logic, and tool use
• Integrate top LLM providers (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc.) and self-hosted models - into a flexible routing layer
• Work with vector databases and build smart, efficient RAG pipelines
• Collaborate with frontend/backend teammates to craft smooth, intuitive developer experiences
• Help shape the architecture and technical direction as we scale both AI and platform capabilities
• Be at the core of it all: things move fast here, and you'll have a direct hand in bringing new ideas into production
• Jump into side quests - from classic ML to experimental AI features - based on your interests

Nice to have

• Built your own ML/AI side projects or prototypes
• Solid grasp of ML theory and academic fundamentals
• Degree in CS, ML, or a related field
• Experience with AI coding tools
• Participated in Kaggle or solved real-world ML problems
• Contributed to open-source ML/AI tools or infra
• Familiar with Kafka or other streaming/message systems
• Hands-on with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX
• Experience with classic ML techniques alongside deep learning
