PMO is responsible for establishing and managing project governance, frameworks, and processes from the ground up to ensure the successful delivery of all project phases within scope, time, and budget.
Job Summary:
Experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to lead the development and construction of a state-of-the-art pet nutrition manufacturing facility from the ground up. PMO is responsible to manage, facilitate and administrate the project processes and workstreams, bring best practices, ensure alignment with project's goals, drive high management standards and efficient execution. She will oversees the project portfolios, resource allocation, risk management, and provides ongoing support and reporting to ensure successful project delivery.
PMO to have a strong background in project management, construction, and manufacturing operations, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and ensure the successful completion of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning, Strategy and & Governance:
- Develop a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and site evaluations to ensure optimal location and design.
- Establish the PMO framework, policies, and procedures tailored to the Greenfield project’s unique requirements.
- Define project governance structure and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Create standardized templates, tools for project planning, monitoring, and reporting.
2. Project Planning & Execution Support
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress and milestones, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Support project managers and workstream leads with issue resolution and change control processes.
3. Reporting & Communication
- Prepare and deliver accurate, timely reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular project steering committee meetings, reviews, and stakeholder updates.
- Maintain a centralized repository of project documents, decisions, and communications.
4. Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
5. Risk, Quality, Budget, and Resource Management
- Develop and maintain project risk and issue registers, ensuring mitigation plans are in place.
- Support quality assurance efforts by implementing project audits and health checks.
- Track resource allocation, availability, and capacity across all workstreams.
- Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
6. Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a cross-functional project team, including internal staff and external partners.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure team members have the resources and support needed to succeed.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
7. Tools & Systems Administration
- Implement and maintain project management software tool
- Train team members on tools and methodologies to ensure effective adoption and use.
8.Quality and Compliance:
- Ensure the factory design and construction meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality expectations.
- Implement quality control processes and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance.
9.Operational Readiness:
- Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and R&D teams to ensure the factory is equipped to meet production goals and product specifications.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of manufacturing equipment and systems.
- Develop and execute a transition plan to ensure a smooth handover to the operations team.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or industrial facilities.
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects from conception to completion.
- Experience in the pet food, nutrition, or FMCG industry is highly desirable.
