The Senior Manager (Senior Industry Analyst) plays a key role in conducting research and analysis on macroeconomic and real economy data. Under the guidance of the Director, the Senior Manager produces analytical reports, develops strategic recommendations, and contributes to initiatives that enhance AIFC’As impact on economic development.
Key Responsibilities
Industry Analysis and Reporting
- Conduct research and analysis on real economy sectors and macroeconomic trends.
- Monitor national and regional industrial strategies, policies, and development plans.
- Prepare proposals for projects aimed at increasing economic complexity and diversification.
- Produce project-specific reports, macroeconomic chartbooks, and case studies.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with AIFCA structural units and AIFC bodies under the Director’s supervision.
- Engage with government authorities and contribute to national and regional development programs.
- Liaise with external organizations including international financial institutions, think tanks, consulting firms, and private companies.
- Share best practices and support junior team members.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procurement documentation standards, and AIFC regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Management, Public Policy, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years in government agencies, quasi-public institutions, consulting, international organizations, or financial institutions.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Experience in policy development and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Technical Proficiency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with ThinkCell is a plus.
- Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., STATA) or data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg Terminal) is preferred.
