The Cyber Security Manager plays a critical role in protecting the organization’s digital infrastructure and sensitive data. This position supports the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity measures, contributes to improving the security posture, and ensures compliance with internal policies and international standards. The role operates under the direct supervision of the Head of Cyber Security.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage user lifecycle activities (joiners, movers, leavers), ensuring timely access modifications and revocations.
- Support access provisioning and approvals across systems and applications, ensuring compliance with workflows and segregation of duties.
- Prepare and maintain data loss prevention (DLP) controls and reports.
- Monitor events and alerts in the DLP system and escalate potential data leakage incidents.
- Conduct regular reviews of access logs and alerts to detect anomalies and validate user activities.
- Participate in incident response efforts including analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Respond to service desk tickets, incidents, changes, inquiries via email, chat, and phone.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to cybersecurity activities and incidents.
- Handle supplier proposals, budgeting estimates, and procurement documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Cyber Security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related STEM discipline (preferably with a focus on Cybersecurity).
- CompTIA Security+, CEH, Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate (CC), ISO27001 LA, or equivalent is preferred.
- Additional training in cybersecurity, networks, or programming is a plus.
- Experience in information security or related fields is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of DLP systems, access management, and incident handling.
- Familiarity with log analysis, anomaly detection, and cybersecurity standards (ISO27001, GDPR, NIST).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
- Experience with M365 and Azure security tools.
- Familiarity with Zscaler, Tenable, Qualys, or similar vulnerability management tools.
- Fluent in Kazakh, Russian, and English.
