Contract lawyer (commercial and real estate)

GRATA International is seeking a skilled Contract Lawyer to join our dynamic team in Almaty. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse commercial matters, including EPC contracts, telecommunications, media & technology (TMT) projects, and complex real estate transactions for leading international and local clients.

You will be assigned to:

- Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, including EPC/FIDIC contracts, TMT agreements, and other commercial arrangements across various sectors;

- Advise clients on the application of Kazakh legislation in commercial transactions;

- Prepare legal memoranda on Kazakhstan law issues for international clients;

-Participate in client negotiations and provide strategic legal guidance;

-Review and conduct due diligence on commercial contracts and real estate documentation;

-Support real estate transactions from structuring to completion.

We expect from you:

• Law degree, bachelor from a recognized university in Kazakhstan (LL.M. or international legal qualifications are advantageous);
• 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably in a consulting or law firm environment;
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with commercial contracts;

• Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) essential.

Professional Skills:

• Strong contract drafting and negotiation abilities;
• Client risk assessment and mitigation strategies;
• Knowledge of civil and commercial law in Kazakhstan;
