closely follow the contractor teams as they install meters and related works in their province;
verify quantities of work each day (e.g., number of meters installed, trenches excavated and backfilled);
check workmanship and immediately inform the central PMC supervisors of any deviations or issues;
keep a log of work progress, labor on site, and any safety or environmental incidents;
coordinate with local water company staff for shutdowns when connecting new meters or for testing; and facilitate any local approvals or community notifications;
report to the national supervision engineer or Deputy Team Leader, sending daily or weekly reports;
verify contractor’s monthly statements by providing measured work details;
build rapport with the suvtaminot branch staff, which helps in acceptance of the completed works and training those staff on basic maintenance of the new installations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or other suitable qualification in engineering;
Ideally, at least 10 years' experience in construction supervision;
Experience of working on projects funded by MDBs (e.g. ADB, AIIB, AFD, EBRD and the World Bank).
