Yashil Energiya LLC JV is a leading renewable energy company in Uzbekistan, focused on developing solar power, EV charging infrastructure, and micro-hydropower projects. In September 2025, Global South Utilities (GSU) from the United Arab Emirates acquired a 51% stake in Yashil Energiya, marking GSU’s first renewable energy investment in the CIS region. The joint venture combines strong local expertise with international experience to expand the company’s renewable energy portfolio, currently totaling around 50 MW of installed solar capacity, with ambitious plans for further growth and diversification.

Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Board of Directors
Location: Tashkent, Uzbekistan

Position Summary

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for leading the financial strategy, management, and reporting of the Joint Venture. This role requires strong expertise in IFRS standards, renewable energy finance, and joint venture governance. The CFO will ensure transparent reporting to both local and foreign shareholders, maintain effective financial control, and support the company’s growth across solar, EV charging, and micro-hydropower segments.

Key Responsibilities

1.Financial Strategy & Planning

• Develop and execute the company's long-term financial strategy in alignment with corporate goals for approval
• Prepare and submit to the Board for approval detailed Capital Planning and Budgets (CP&B) for the next financial year (at least three months before the commencement of each financial year).
• Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
• Provide insights and recommendations to management and shareholders to support informed decision-making.

2. Financial Management & Reporting

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in full compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Oversee treasury operations, cash flow, and liquidity management.
• Maintain accounting integrity and ensure consistent financial policies across all JV entities.
• Submission of Financial Reports: Preparing and submitting key financial reports - Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Changes in Equity, and Trial Balance - to shareholders by the 5th calendar day of each month.
• Liaison with shareholders finance team on regular financial report and matters related with financial audits.
• Operational and KPI Reporting: Compiling and submitting operational reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to shareholders for inclusion in the monthly comprehensive financial and operational reporting package.
• Submit audited financial statements to the Board within two months after the end of each financial year.
• Provide the Board with monthly management accounts within ten business days after the end of each month.

3. Joint Venture Governance & Shareholder Relations

• Ensure transparent and accurate financial communication between JV partners and stakeholders.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for the Board and shareholders’ meetings.
• Support audits, valuations, and other financial reviews as stipulated in the JV agreement.

4. Project Finance & Investments

• Structure and evaluate project financing for solar, EV charging, and micro-hydropower projects.
• Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.
• Forecast and manage corporate cash flow to ensure liquidity for operations and strategic investments.
• Oversee financial models, project feasibility studies, and IRR analyses.

5. Risk Management & Compliance

• Identify and manage financial, operational, and currency risks.
• Ensure compliance with local tax, financial, and corporate regulations.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors to maintain robust financial control systems.
• Ensure adequate insurance coverage for major assets and operations.

• 6. Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and performance excellence.
• Build strong collaboration with operational, commercial, and technical departments.

• Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CFA) strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in financial management, including at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or power generation projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English, Russian, and Uzbek.
