Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the daily operations of the mud plant and solids control unit to ensure compliance with safety procedures, operational efficiency, and quality standards.
Develop new drilling fluid formulations, conduct laboratory tests and perform computer simulations to meet project requirements.
Analyze drilling data to optimize fluid composition and performance for various drilling conditions.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials used in drilling operations.
Lead and train subordinate staff (mud plant supervisor, drilling fluid controllers).
Implement and monitor water cleaning and reuse systems to optimize water consumption.
Conduct training programs for drilling personnel on drilling fluid composition, properties, and application.
Prepare detailed reports on mud plant performance, waste management, water reuse, and training efficiency.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in drilling fluids engineering.
Strong understanding of drilling technologies, mud properties, and solids control systems.
Certified Mud Engineer (Drilling Fluids Engineer License).
Solid leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of occupational health, industrial safety, and environmental protection standards.
Proficient in technical reporting and process optimization.
Good command of English (written and spoken) — ability to communicate effectively in an international environment.
