Senior Drilling Fluids Engineer

• Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the mud plant and solids control unit to ensure compliance with safety procedures, operational efficiency, and quality standards.

• Develop new drilling fluid formulations, conduct laboratory tests and perform computer simulations to meet project requirements.

• Analyze drilling data to optimize fluid composition and performance for various drilling conditions.

• Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials used in drilling operations.

• Lead and train subordinate staff (mud plant supervisor, drilling fluid controllers).

• Implement and monitor water cleaning and reuse systems to optimize water consumption.

• Conduct training programs for drilling personnel on drilling fluid composition, properties, and application.

• Prepare detailed reports on mud plant performance, waste management, water reuse, and training efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in drilling fluids engineering.

• Strong understanding of drilling technologies, mud properties, and solids control systems.

• Certified Mud Engineer (Drilling Fluids Engineer License).

• Solid leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Knowledge of occupational health, industrial safety, and environmental protection standards.

• Proficient in technical reporting and process optimization.

• Good command of English (written and spoken) — ability to communicate effectively in an international environment.
