Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the project HSE Management System in line with corporate and client requirements
Lead HSE planning for all project phases (construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning)
Ensure compliance with RoK health, safety, and environmental regulations
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and develop corrective actions
Organize HSE training, inductions, and awareness sessions for project personnel and subcontractors
Manage HSE documentation, permits, and reports required by internal and external stakeholders
Liaise with client representatives, contractors, and regulatory authorities on HSE matters
Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project team
Ensure emergency response plans and procedures are in place and tested
Requirements:
Higher education in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in oil & gas or industrial construction projects, preferably in gas processing facilities
Strong knowledge of RoK HSE legislation and international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.)
Certification in HSE (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
Experience managing HSE on large-scale construction projects with multiple subcontractors
