Technical Game Designer (UE)

Nekki is a game development studio, the creator of Shadow Fight Arena, Shadow Fight 3, Shadow Fight 2, 11×11, and Vector. The total number of registered users for our games exceeds 1 billion worldwide. We develop and release games for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms.

We’re looking for a Technical Game Designer to join the SPINE team.

SPINE is made with Unreal Engine 5 and centered around cinematic gun-fu shootouts. It's a third-person beat'em'up with a full set of PC gaming features, including a deep storyline, a unique setting, cutscenes, intriguing enemies, memorable bosses, character progression, and, most importantly, breathtaking battles with a wide array of firearms.

This project represents a new ambitious challenge for the company as it marks our first game for both PC and consoles.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble cutscenes in collaboration with other team members (animators, level designers, VFX and SFX artists) and contribute to improving the assembly workflow and cutscene quality.

• Work on the game logic as part of the technical design team.

• Prototype new game features.

• Work with UE5 systems related to gameplay logic and animation, such as Blueprints and the Gameplay Ability System.

Requirements:

• Experience working with UE5/UE4, particularly with Blueprints, for 2 years or more.

• Ability to independently debug and identify issues to be addressed and fixed by project programmers.

• Strong teamwork skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.

What would be a plus:

• Portfolio showcasing personal game projects or demos of any complexity.

• Practical experience in creating and assembling cutscenes in Unreal Engine.
