Legal assistant / Junior Lawyer

We are offering a unique opportunity for a motivated junior lawyer to shadow and learn directly from a dual-qualified UK Solicitor and Kazakhstan legal consultant. Over time, the role will increasingly focus on international legal projects, while Kazakhstan-related work will make up about 1/3 of the workload.

Responsibilities:

• Support and shadow a dual-qualified solicitor in international legal projects, with exposure to foreign law and cross-border transactions;
• Assist in preparing cases for the Disciplinary Commission of the Chamber of Legal Consultants; collect and systematize the practice and decisions;
• Legal research;
• Administrative support.

Requirements:

• Strong command of English (written and spoken, at least B2 level) and Russian;
• Interest in international law and cross-border projects;
• High level of professional ethics and integrity;
• Motivation to qualify as lawyer.
