Purchasing Manager / Buyer

The manufacturing company (ex-western brand, food) is searching of an Purchasing Manager / Buyer

location - Riga Land business center.

Description and Responsibilities:

• Capture real savings for the Ingredients, Packaging & IMAS categories across the organization.
• Vendor selection and negotiation process.
• Monitors performances of vendors and the compliance with guidelines.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend categories.
• Track performance within each spend category and define budgetary impact.
• Monitor strategy implementation and contract compliance.
• Drive best practices.
• Provide assistance to acquisition strategies by completing due diligence and integration activities for spend.
• Uphold internal and external policies, regulations and laws.

Qualifications:

• At least 3-4 years’ experience in the procurement area in an international company (focus - Packaging category).
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills (multiple complex analyses simultaneously).
• Good planning and project management skills.
• Strong negotiating skills.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for reducing costs and a track record of success in this area.
• Distinctive leadership.
• Comfortable with conflict.
• Able to work in a dual reporting matrix.
• CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) desirable.
