Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, specification, selection and services relating to mechanical equipment such as rotating machinery, pressure vessels, atmospheric storage tanks, fired and unfired heat transfer equipment, utility equipment, packaged units, material handling and solids processing systems
• May also include design, specification, selection and services of mechanical systems for buildings such as gases, fluids, and heating, ventilating, air conditioning and vertical transportation
• Under direct supervision, independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications
• Plans, schedules, and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
• Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements
• Liaises with other design disciplines and equipment manufacturers on all mechanical related issued and acts as decisions maker on general aspects of packaged equipment design
• Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations
• Calculations, Equipment data sheets (static\rotating), Requisitions, SDRLs and etc.
• Preparation of design documentation for equipment

Requirements:

• Engineering degree in related field
• Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates
• Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to their discipline of engineering
• Working level of competence in the application of standards, processes and procedures and how they are used in work execution
