Knorr-Bremse Rail Vehicle Systems Kazakhstan is seeking an experienced Treasury/AP/AR accountant to join our team in Astana.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Chief Accountant in overseeing daily financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, cash flow management, and general ledger maintenance, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, Tax and company policies:
- Posting in 1C incoming invoices from suppliers, including intercompany
- Prepare shipment documents (local and export including intercompany)
- Making payments according to Company's policies and complaints requirements
- Currency control and reporting according to National Bank requirements
- Reconciliation of intercompany transactions (monthly), external suppliers/customers (quarterly/yearly).
Support CFO with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Utilize data from the local ERP (1C) to prepare and upload monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to corporate system (SAP). These reports will include Budget, Outlook, Forecast, and Actuals, and must be prepared and submitted in alignment with the corporate reporting schedule.
- Collaborate closely with operations, sales, logistics, vendors, and customers to provide financial insights, ensure controls, and meet reporting requirements.
Core Competencies:
- 1C user, knowledge of SAP system is an advantage
- Experienced with Kazakhstan’s regulatory requirements: IS ESF system, virtual stock, currency legislation (currency transactions rules by National Bank)
- Experienced with import/export transactions.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high accuracy in the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
Additional Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of experience in financial control, budgeting, and analysis.
- Proficiency in English (B2 level or higher) for effective communication with international teams.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
