Product Designer

Andersen is hiring a Product Designer for an AI-driven language learning platform. The role focuses on scaling a mobile app with immersive avatar-led conversations to deliver personalized education.

The customer is a fast-growing U.S.-based startup operating in the field of AI-powered language learning. With a global user base across more than 100 countries, the organization focuses on providing affordable, personalized education through realistic avatar-led conversations. It leverages cutting-edge generative AI to deliver real-time feedback on pronunciation, grammar, and fluency. The team is composed of engineers, designers, and education specialists dedicated to making language fluency accessible to learners worldwide.

The project centers on developing and scaling a mobile-first application that enables users to engage in immersive, scenario-based conversations with AI avatars.

Responsibilities:

• Leading end-to-end UX/UI design from concept to execution.
• Crafting user-friendly, accessible, and visually compelling interfaces.
• Designing avatar-based conversation journeys and seamless interactions.
• Collaborating with product and engineering to design AI-powered interfaces.
• Exploring and prototyping intuitive, human, and forward-thinking interaction patterns.
• Conducting user research and iterating designs based on feedback.
• Using data, testing, and heuristics to optimize clarity, usability, and engagement.
• Collaborating with engineering, product, and leadership in a fast-paced environment.
• Translating bold ideas into scalable, shippable designs.

Must-haves:

• Experience as a Product Designer for 3+ years.
• Proven experience designing end-to-end UX/UI with a strong focus mobile apps.
• Proven portfolio with relevant product design cases in mobile.
• Experience with design tools such as Figma, and ideally prototyping tools like Protopie or Framer.
• Familiarity with AI assistant technologies and interest in shaping novel interaction models.
• A user-centered mindset with a deep understanding of usability, accessibility, and mobile design best practices.
• Experience conducting or working with user research and usability testing.
• A desire to push boundaries and explore new paradigms in mobile design.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+.
