Full Stack Developer (Node. js + React)

Andersen is hiring a Full Stack Developer (Node.js + React) for a UK digital platform. The role focuses on evolving AWS-based systems and frontend to deliver a smooth experience for limited-release footwear.

The customer is a UK-based digital platform that provides accurate sneaker news, release updates, and curated drops across the UK and European markets. Partnering with over 50 retailers, it engages over 2 million monthly users and 5 million page views, supported by a global team of around 38 employees.

The project is focused on developing and maintaining a digital platform for discovering and purchasing limited-release footwear and apparel. It involves evolving a serverless AWS infrastructure, data-driven backend systems, and a React-based frontend to deliver a seamless, high-performance user experience.

Technology stack: TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Remix, Node.js, Serverless Framework, AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront), Algolia, Athena, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline.

Responsibilities:

• Working primarily on backend systems (Node.js/TypeScript), including real-time data aggregation and automated product intelligence tools.
• Supporting and enhancing our React/Remix-based web applications.
• Helping scale and optimize our serverless architecture (AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, etc.).
• Collaborating with product managers and the CTO in daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
• Participating in code reviews and contributing to architectural decisions.

Must-haves:

• Experience in software development with strong backend focus for 5+ years.
• Experience with frontend frameworks like React (ideally Remix) for 1+ year.
• Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
• Production experience with AWS serverless technologies.
• Proven experience designing and scaling APIs and data-driven services.
• Strong communication skills and collaborating in distributed teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Level of English – from Upper Intermediate+ and above.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with real-time data scraping, analytics, or e-commerce systems.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Serverless Framework).
• Prior work in affiliate, retail, or marketplace platforms.
