Could you be the full-time Jigs & Tools Engineer in Astana we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Industrialization Manager Farkhad Ospanov and work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll play a critical role in defining and validating detailed manufacturing processes, developing industrial documentation, and setting manufacturing method times. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as production and design teams), support continuous improvement actions, and industrialize product and process changes, among other responsibilities.

You’ll specifically take care of ensuring the uninterrupted operation of current and newly introduced production lines, but also contribute to the development of technical and working projects.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Ensuring the smooth preparation and operation of production processes for current and new production lines.

  • Developing sketch, technical, and working projects of medium-sized products using design automation tools.

  • Ensuring compliance with technical conditions, standards, safety regulations, and economical production technologies.

  • Performing technical calculations and preparing instructions for the operation of designs and related documentation.

  • Coordinating projects with managers, internal teams, customers, and supervisors while ensuring economic feasibility.

  • Supporting Industrial Engineers in creating and updating industrial deliverables such as work instructions, task lists, and lifting plans.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Higher engineering and/or technical education.

  • At least one year of experience in production or a related specialty (preferable).

  • Understanding of design automation tools and unified design documentation systems (ESKD).

  • Familiarity with safety standards and economical production technologies.

  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

  • Ability to perform technical calculations and develop comprehensive documentation.

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines.

  • Contribute to innovative projects.

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues.

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning.

  • Progress towards exciting career opportunities in engineering or related fields.

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).

  • Thrive with our quality of life perks, including corporate shuttlebus, meal allowance and 1Fit discount.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
