Develop technical specifications, datasheets, and requisitions for static equipment.
Perform mechanical design calculations in accordance with international codes (ASME, API, TEMA, EN) and local standards (e.g., GOST for Kazakhstan projects).
Review and approve vendor documents including GA drawings, fabrication procedures, welding specifications, and test plans.
Ensure compliance with project requirements, client specifications, and safety standards.
Support procurement by evaluating vendor offers and providing technical clarifications.
Coordinate with process, piping, civil/structural, and instrumentation disciplines.
Provide support during FAT, SAT, site installation, and commissioning.
Ensure equipment is designed for operability, maintainability, and reliability, considering extreme site conditions (e.g., low ambient temperatures).
Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, and design review meetings.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and manage vendor non-conformities.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power plant projects with focus on static equipment.
Strong knowledge of design codes: ASME VIII Div.1/2, API 650/660/661, TEMA, EN, GOST.
Proficiency in design software (PV Elite, Compress, HTRI, AutoPIPE, Caesar II for nozzle loads).
Experience with vendor management and international fabrication.
Familiarity with Kazakhstan regulatory requirements and local fabrication practices (preferred).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
