We are now looking for a skilled and motivated Accountant to join our team in Uzbekistan. This role is key in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with local statutory requirements, and strong support to our business operations.

About the Role

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for executing daily accounting activities, statutory reporting, and supporting both local management and Group Finance with timely and accurate financial information. You will ensure compliance with Uzbekistan accounting and tax regulations while aligning with FLSmidth’s global financial standards.

This role reports to the Finance Manager, Central Asia, with close collaboration with Group Finance in Copenhagen.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and fixed assets.

• Ensure compliance with Uzbekistan statutory accounting and tax regulations, including VAT, CIT, and payroll-related reporting.

• Prepare and submit local statutory financial statements in collaboration with external auditors and advisors.

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes according to IFRS and Group policies.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the local entity.

• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies.

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting into FLSmidth’s global ERP system.

• Support internal control implementation (SOX framework) and ensure compliance with company policies.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in an international company

• Solid knowledge of Uzbekistan statutory accounting, tax, and reporting requirements.

• Strong ERP system knowledge (SAP experience is an advantage).

• Proficiency in English and Russian (Uzbek is a plus).

• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

• Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.
