Network Engineer (to Serbia)

We are seeking a Network Engineer for an international IT company that provides services of dedicated servers, cloud technologies, load balancer, firewall, Kubernetes and monitoring services.

Location: Serbia

Main responsibilities:

• Administering network equipment across multiple data centers;

• Performing scheduled and emergency maintenance on networking hardware;

• Handling requests from both internal teams and external customers;

• Taking part in internal projects such as network expansion, connecting new sites, deploying new equipment, and automating operations.

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN concepts;

• Proficiency with dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF);

• Knowledge of VLAN, xSTP family, LACP, redundancy methods (LACP, VRRP, etc.);

• Basic troubleshooting skills for network issues;

• Intermediate English or above for reading technical documentation and communicating with customers;

• Ability to learn quickly, analyze large amounts of technical information in English, and strong interpersonal skills.

Will be a plus:

• Experience with Extreme, Juniper, or Nokia networking equipment;

• Familiarity with EVPN and/or MPLS;

• Vendor certifications in networking hardware/software;

• Background in telecommunications or data center networking.
