We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Application Support Engineer to join our team supporting gas and electricity market trading operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation and rapid resolution of issues across multiple trading applications used in the middle and back office functions. You will play a key role in maintaining application performance and availability while collaborating closely with internal teams and external vendors.

Important: On-Call Support (Monday to Friday), 8 hours per day. This corresponds to 02:00 to 16:00 UTC/GMT +4 during the summer and 03:00 to 17:00 UTC/GMT +4 during the winter. Each specialist will have 4-5 shifts per week, which may include 1-2 night shifts.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality operational and technical application support for internal business applications
- Resolve incidents and service requests according to service level agreements
- Conduct daily checks on critical applications and report status to the IT Operations Team
- Coordinate application releases and configuration changes with the Delivery Team
- Manage core processes, including change management, problem management, etc
- Perform server patching and scheduled application restarts
- Participate in monthly and quarterly reporting and audit activities
- Identify and recommend improvements to enhance application performance and automate repetitive tasks
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal departments, 3rd party vendors, and hosting providers
Requirements
- Experience of 3+ years in application support for enterprise trading or energy sector applications
- Knowledge of application support tools and frameworks
- Understanding of energy trading, derivatives, and commodity market analytics
- Ability to work on-call during specified Georgian time hours
- Willingness to undertake regular business trips to the UK
- English language proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher
Nice to have
- Background in using Azure DevOps for deployment and release management
- Competency in Microsoft Azure cloud services and SQL databases
- Experience with exchange-traded financial instruments, trading and risk management systems
