About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead and oversee all contractual aspects of major oil & gas projects in Kazakhstan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract management, commercial negotiations, and compliance within the energy sector, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and risks are minimized.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation, negotiation, administration, and close-out of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with Kazakhstan legislation, company policies, and industry standards.
- Draft, review, and amend contract terms to protect the company’s interests and mitigate risks.
- Monitor contract performance, deliverables, and payment milestones.
- Handle claims, variations, and disputes in collaboration with legal and project teams.
- Provide contractual advice to project management, procurement, and engineering teams.
- Maintain accurate records of contractual correspondence and agreements.
- Support business development and tendering teams during proposal stages.
- Former TCO Base busines experience is an advantage
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in contract management in the oil & gas or energy industry.
- Proven experience in international contract forms.
- Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan civil, commercial, and labor laws.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Fluency in English and Russian (Kazakh is an advantage).
- High level of commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
