Faculty Member – Computer Science and Engineering

Sharda University Uzbekistan is seeking a qualified and dedicated faculty member to join the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FoET) for teaching in Computer Science and Engineering. Depending on qualifications and experience, the selected candidate may be offered a leadership position as Dean or Associate Dean of the Faculty.

The faculty member will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality teaching materials, enhancing the student learning experience, contributing to academic planning, and potentially leading the faculty’s academic strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Learning:

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, and lab sessions in Computer Science and Engineering.

• Develop course materials, curriculum outlines, assessments, and teaching strategies.

• Use appropriate teaching methods and technologies to enhance learning outcomes.

• Supervise student projects, theses, and, where relevant, support internships and placements.

• Provide academic support and guidance to students through regular office hours, email, and LMS platforms.

• Ensure compliance with university quality standards, accreditation requirements, and academic policies.

Curriculum Development:

• Contribute to the review and continuous improvement of Computer Science courses and programs.

• Align teaching materials and delivery methods with current trends and industry demands.

• Implement best practices in assessment and feedback.

Administrative & Strategic Duties (for Dean/Associate Dean role):

• Lead academic planning and coordination within the faculty.

• Monitor faculty performance and contribute to professional development planning.

• Represent the faculty in university-wide committees and initiatives.

• Foster academic partnerships and research collaborations locally and internationally.

• Oversee compliance with institutional policies and contribute to strategic growth.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

• Prior teaching experience at the university level is required.

• Proven track record in curriculum development and academic leadership (required for Dean/Associate Dean consideration).

• Strong communication skills in English; additional language proficiency (Uzbek/Russian) is an advantage.

• Experience in research or industry projects in relevant fields is desirable.
