Senior/Lead QA Automation Engineer (Java)

GP Solutions is looking for a Senior/Lead QA Automation Engineer who will mentor the team in improving Java code quality, test design, and QA processes.

Project:
Enterprise-level software for travel companies around the globe. Our flagship product, GP Travel Enterprise, helps tour operators, DMCs, and OTAs automate and scale their business operations with flexible and robust solutions. We’re looking for a strategic, customer-centric.

Remotely/Office/Hybrid.

Responsibilities:

• Mentor and technically grow a team of 9 QA automation engineers through pair programming, live coding sessions, and regular knowledge sharing;
• Review and maintain the quality of Java automation code, ensuring consistency and best practices across the team;
• Drive technical decisions on frameworks and test strategies, acting as the go-to expert for complex issues;
• Focus primarily on team development and code quality, with minimal hands-on coding except for demos and collaborative work.

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in QA automation with Java;
• Team leadership experience;
• Experience with Cucumber, Serenity BDD, JUnit 5;
• Experience with UI and API testing;
• Knowledge of Jenkins, Docker, Maven;
• Proven mentoring and technical training skills;
• Being proactive, stress-resistant, with a positive attitude to life.

• Language: Java 8 Testing;
• Frameworks: Cucumber (BDD scenarios), Serenity BDD (enhanced reporting & Page Object), JUnit 5;
• Test Types: UI, API;
• API Testing: Postman;
• CI/CD: Jenkins;
• Containerization: Docker;
• Reporting: Allure, Serenity;
• Reports Build: Maven;
• Database: Percona MySQL (when needed);
• IDE: IntelliJ IDEA;
• Version Control: Mercurial (hg).
