FastMCP is a developer-facing platform to discover, connect, and deploy MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and AI tools for ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor IDE, and more. Think of it as an App Store for AI tools and backends — with search, filters, ratings, one-click instructions, and AI-assisted integration.

You’ll join as one of the first engineers and shape the foundation of our backend architecture, product features, and developer experience. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to go beyond code and help build a startup from the ground up.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain backend services using C# / ASP.NET Core (8/9)

• Design APIs, infrastructure, and modular integrations for MCPs and AI tools

• Work with PostgreSQL (via Supabase) and OAuth 2.0

• Implement features like caching, reviews, filters, and intelligent search

• Collaborate with frontend, SEO, and AI engineers

• Optimize performance, security, and scalability of the platform

• (Optional) Build internal AI agents that enhance developer workflows

Our Tech Stack

• Languages/Frameworks: C# 12, ASP.NET Core 8/9

• Database: PostgreSQL (Supabase)

• Frontend: Razor Pages + Tailwind CSS (Blazor or React possible)

• CI/CD: GitHub Actions

• Hosting: Vercel + custom VPS

• Protocols: REST, OAuth 2.0 (GraphQL considered)

• Integrations: OpenAI, Claude, Cursor IDE, ChatGPT

What We’re Looking For

• Solid experience with C# and ASP.NET Core (2+ years)

• Strong grasp of backend architecture and API design

• Experience with PostgreSQL and Entity Framework Core

• Product thinking — you’re not just writing code, you’re solving user problems

• Proactive mindset, self-driven, and comfortable working in uncertainty

• Interest in building at the earliest stages of a startup

Bonus Points

• Experience with OAuth 2.0 and authentication flows

• Familiarity with Razor Pages or Tailwind CSS

• Passion for AI, LLMs, and developer tooling

• Startup, side project, or indie hacker experience

• Willingness to grow into a Founding Engineer or CTO role
