Site QA/QC Inspector

Construction Quality Standards: Good understanding of construction quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO/IEC 17025); Familiarity with ASME, ASTM, AWS, ACI, IEC, and project-specific specs, local codes and standards: KMK, ShNK, PUE, SNIP

QA/QC Documentation: ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), Method of Statements, NCRs, RFI preparation, Quality dossiers, handover documents and final documentation

Inspection & Testing Techniques: Familiarity with ITPs, method statements, and inspection checklists (based on specialization)

• Civil: Rebar inspection, concrete mix & curing, compaction, foundations;
• Electrical: Cable laying, terminations, insulation resistance, meggering;
• Mechanical: Welding inspection, torquing, hydrotesting, NDT coordination
• Solar: Pile driving, module alignment, string testing, IV curve tracing

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, QA/QC documentation, and technical standards.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Document control systems

Knowledge of construction materials, installation techniques, and workmanship standards.

Proficiency in using inspection tools, equipment, and instruments.

Experience with test witnessing (e.g., compaction test, concrete slump, cable meggering, relay testing, etc.). Welding and NDT (if applicable): Familiarity with WPS, PQR, WPQ, NDT techniques: VT, PT, MT, UT, RT

Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and ITPs.

  Perform inspections and testing at various construction stages (civil, mechanical, electrical works depending on discipline).

  Verify compliance of materials and workmanship to project quality standards and specifications.

  Raise and follow up on non-conformance reports (NCRs), site observations, and corrective actions.

  Witness testing and commissioning activities as per the approved quality plan and ITPs.

  Monitor subcontractor quality performance and provide guidance to ensure compliance.

  Ensure proper documentation of inspection reports, checklists, test results, and QA/QC records.

  Coordinate with site engineers, construction team, and client representatives for inspection scheduling.

  Participate in internal audits and support external QA/QC audits by client or third parties.

  Report daily QA/QC progress and issues to the QA/QC Manager.

  Support the completion of final documentation (as-built drawings, test reports, quality dossiers).

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering. QA/QC certifications (e.g., ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, CSWIP, AWS-CWI, or equivalent) preferred, not mandatory.

  Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of QA/QC experience in EPC projects for high-voltage substations, transmission lines, or solar PV/BESS systems.

  Attention to Detail: Ability to spot deviations from standards and prevent quality issues.

  Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication with site teams and client representatives.

  Documentation: Skilled in preparing accurate and clear inspection records and reports.

  Problem Solving: Capable of identifying quality problems and proposing corrective/preventive actions.

  Teamwork: Collaborative mindset while working with construction and QA/QC team.
