Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and monitor the project-specific HSE plan for retrofit activities in line with local regulations and company standards.
• Conduct/ review risk assessments and method statement reviews (RAMS) related to demolition, structural up-grades, MEP retrofitting, and occupied building work.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety laws, including site-specific measures for working in operational or partially occupied environments.
• Conduct site inspections, identify unsafe acts/conditions, and enforce corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE inductions and toolbox talks tailored to retrofit hazards (e.g., asbestos, confined spaces, electrical works).
• Monitor use of PPE, fall protection systems, and safe access/egress, especially in constrained retrofit settings.
• Maintain HSE documentation, incident logs, and statutory reporting (e.g., near misses, accidents).
• Lead and support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders on safe sequencing of works and interface management.
• Support environmental compliance, including waste management, noise/dust control, and hazardous material handling.
Qualifications:
• Strong communication, reporting, and training skills
• Certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, ISO 45001, local authority accreditation).
• Minimum 8 years of HSE experience in construction, with at least 2 years on retrofit/refurbishment projects.
• Knowledge of local HSE regulations, working in live/occupied environments, and retrofitting risk profiles.
• Language: Fluency in Uzbek and Russian; good command of English (spoken and written) preferable.
• Education: Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or equivalent.
