Key Responsibilities:
Shipment & Transport Management
- Monitor and track shipment movements from origin to final delivery address.
- Ensure subcontractors comply with the agreed logistics and transport schedule.
- Coordinate inland transportation from rail station, ports or airports to the construction site.
- Address transport-related issues such as delays, damages, or customs holds.
- Ensure subcontractors adhere to packaging, marking, and handling requirements.
Customs & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure all shipments comply with import/export regulations and customs requirements.
- Coordinate customs clearance activities with customs brokers and relevant authorities.
- Monitor the issuance of import permits, duties, taxes, and exemptions.
- Ensure PVOC (Pre-Verification of Conformity) and any other required inspections are completed.
- Address customs discrepancies and escalate issues to the Logistics Manager and/or Project management when necessary.
Documentation & Stakeholder Coordination
- Manage the documentary flow (commercial invoices, packing lists, Transport documents, certificates, etc.).
- Ensure timely submission of customs documents to brokers and authorities.
- Liaise with project and site managers to align delivery schedules with construction needs.
- Work with quality coordinators to verify that received materials meet required standards.
- Collaborate with finance teams on duties and taxes payments and cost tracking.
Risk & Issue Resolution
- Identify potential risks related to logistics and customs operations.
- Develop mitigation plans for shipment delays, customs issues, and non-compliance cases.
- Ensure subcontractors adhere to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations during transport and warehouse operations.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Provide regular updates on shipment status, customs clearance, and delivery schedules.
- Track KPIs related to logistics efficiency, customs clearance time, and cost control.
- Recommend process improvements for more efficient-effective logistics operations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Experience: 3+ years in logistics, customs clearance, or supply chain roles, preferably in EPC/EPCM projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Incoterms, customs regulations, and international transport.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with MS office tools, mainly Microsoft excel
- Skills: Strong organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Languages: Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
