ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a sharp, trend-aware SMM Designer who knows not just how to build a beautiful layout but how to make people stop scrolling. You’ll be responsible for creating visual content across a wide range of formats and platforms — from static 2D posts and animated stories to vertical short-form videos and campaign-level visuals. The role requires speed, taste, humor, and an eye for emerging digital aesthetics. You’ll work closely with SMM managers, copywriters, and content leads to turn briefs and ideas into compelling visual narratives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Visual Content Creation
- Design graphics for social media: posts, stories, Reels, YouTube thumbnails, TikTok visuals, and more.
- Adapt creative assets to multiple formats and social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Telegram, YouTube, etc.).
- Create and support consistent visual identity across content types and channels.
- Work across static graphics, lightweight motion, memes, and creative experimental formats.
- Concept Development
- Develop and refine visual concepts for campaigns, branded rubrics, and one-off pieces.
- Collaborate with copywriters and SMM managers to co-create content with strong visual-text synergy.
- Present ideas, moodboards, and visual directions during creative syncs and brainstorms.
- Maintain and evolve visual style guides, templates, and system components.
- Ads & Short-Form Video
- Design creatives for performance campaigns (carousels, static ads, stories, video preview frames).
- Work with short-form video: storyboard visuals, prepare assets, and coordinate with editors.
- Ensure all visuals meet the technical requirements of advertising platforms and social media algorithms.
REQUIREMENTS
Hard Skills
- Strong grasp of visual design fundamentals: color theory, layout, composition, and typography.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma. Experience with After Effects or other motion tools is a plus.
- Solid understanding of how major social platforms work — both visually and behaviorally.
- Familiarity with up-to-date format specs, size ratios, and best practices for key social channels.
- Awareness of creative requirements for targeted ads and paid campaigns.
- Comfort with short-form video formats: vertical video logic, visual rhythm, and engagement hooks.
- Visual culture fluency — strong aesthetic taste and awareness of meme trends and content cycles.
- Skills in 3D or hand-drawn illustration are a plus, but not required.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (SMM, copy, creative leads).
- Multitasking: ability to manage multiple design tasks across varied projects and formats.
- Time management: ability to meet strict deadlines within content calendars.
- Sense of humor: understanding visual humor, meme dynamics, and digital subculture references.
- Empathy: ability to understand and reflect the psychology, taste, and expectations of the target audience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with social media content creation
- Understanding of social platforms algorithms and audience features
- Understanding of CIS Nutra Market is a strong advantage
- Experience with video production and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
- Fluent English
- Russian language is an advantage
