Senior Petrophysicist, Tashkent

Candidate requirements:

Degree in Geosciences or Physics with 15+ years of industry experience in petrophysical interpretation.

Language: Uzbek, Russian, English-upper intermediate/fluent

The willingness and ability to work on a multi‐disciplinary team with a collaborative, accountable and proactive approach.

Solid background in geology and other transversal knowledge aside petrophysics.

Experience in integrated reservoir characterization and integrated subsurface studies. Project experience in field development plan

Proficiency in multiwell interpretation on Techlog Platform and OFM production data

Solid understanding of reservoir geology, rock physics and geomechanics.

Experience in oil and gas reservoir characterization and reserves estimates.

Strong knowledge and understanding of reservoir engineering and geological operations.

Strong understanding of well testing and completion.

Responsible for the supervision and integration of all logs and petrophysical data for the subsurface work related to the field development and execution

• Responsible for the data acquisition planning, and for the QC, processing and interpretation of petrophysical data. Specifically, for new technologies (NMR, Dielectric, LithoScanner..)
• Well database construction, including, Editing, Normalizing of vintage data
• Multiwell interpretation and batch processing on Techlog platform.
• Petrophysical Model built around robust rock typing (exhaustive RT based on local Poro/Perm, Pore Size/Pore Throat, productivity index…)
• Saturation Methods (reconciliation of simple porosity models with multimineral petrophysical interpretation (e.g ELAN)
• Propagation of Rock Typing to vintage reduced data set by neural network.
• Hydraulic units characterization (integration with production data and multiwell 3D correlations)
• Core acquisition, studies, description and validation; Saturation Height Modelling with MICP
• Porous Media description and characterization (core description, NMR, high resolution image, SEM)
• Water entry mechanisms identification based on reservoir description (sediment type, Kv/KH ratio) and production data from OFM database.
• Integration of Open Hole with Cased Hole data (Saturation, Spectroscopy and Production Logging, Cement control)
• Process & Planning
• Documentation of lessons learned and insures that new well results/information are shared with stakeholders and that yearly activity plan is actualized accordingly.
• Define & maintain processes related to the activities of location generation, prognosis and drilling proposals.
• Understands the legislative requirements, and Schlumberger Project Management Standards Operating Procedures.

HSE

• Comply with applicable company policies, including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety and Environment standards and procedures.
• Successfully complete required safety training.
• Promotes the application of Schlumberger quality and safety standards.
• Ensure that all direct reports are up to date with their safety training, QHSE requirements.
• Adhere with reporting requirements of QHSE incidents timely and accurately.
• Ensures QHSE risks are addressed in completion design and production operations

Mentor and advise junior and peers in the area of petrophysics and QA/QC.

• Follow training and development program as mentor for junior petrophysicists and geologists
• Support the field engineers by recommending techniques or parameters to acquire the best dataset.
