Deputy Chief Accountant (international logistics company)

The Deputy Chief Accountant will be responsible for coordinate the financial operations of the companies in KZ, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with local regulations, and effective financial planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and proven leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversight of day- to- day accounting activities including Account payable/account receivable, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Preparation of complete and accurate financial statements in accordance with local accounting requirements (KZ accounting standards), as well as Group Accounting Policy.
• Coordination statutory auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
• Preparation of VAT, CIT and fiscal returns & supports the preparation of all required financial declarations/reports as requested by public and financial institutions.
• Providing support during the audits and liaising with external auditors.
• Participating in various IT and other projects focused on digitalization of accounting processes.
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
• Lead and develop the accounting team.
• Other financial management duties assigned by the Chief Accountant.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 years in a managerial role.
• High sense of responsibility, capacity to organize time and plan actions effectively.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the period close process.
• Excellent MS office skills.
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills 1C/Axapta is preferred.
• A proactive personality with a drive to push things forward.
• Strong, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
