QA & Test Engineer

About the role

We’re looking for a talented QA & Test Engineer to join us at Florax, where we’re building a modern platform that helps flower shop owners effortlessly track their inventory, monitor sales, and make smarter business decisions. As an early-stage startup, we’re passionate about equipping florists with intuitive, data-driven tools that take the hassle out of daily operations and help their businesses flourish.

In this role, you’ll work at the heart of our technical team to ensure our platform is stable, accurate, and delivers a seamless experience to our B2B customers. You’ll be designing and executing both manual and automated tests to catch issues early, validate critical financial and inventory flows, and safeguard the data integrity that our clients rely on. You’ll also have a chance to help shape our testing strategy and establish quality processes that will scale as we grow.

Because we’re a small, agile startup, you’ll be empowered to take ownership, solve problems proactively, and contribute ideas beyond just QA — whether it’s improving developer workflows, suggesting UI refinements, or helping debug tricky edge cases in live environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a QA Engineer, Test Engineer, or in a similar technical role.

• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools, such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
  
• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or REST-assured.
  
• Basic knowledge of SQL, with the ability to write queries to validate data.
  
• Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
  
• Because our team is multi-regional, you must be able to communicate effectively in English to a reasonable standard.
  
• Minimum of 2 years of technical experience working with TypeScript.
  
• Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical team members, and explaining issues or solutions clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc).
  
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
  
• Understanding of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
