As an international British independent school in Almaty, we are looking for Yearly Tears Reception Assistant Teachers.
If you are a dedicated, professional practitioner who is passionate about leading the learning of young children through play, we would welcome your application for this role. An understanding of the importance of Early Years education is essential and would benefit your application.
You will be involved in the day to day education and care of children aged 4-5. This involves the development of language, literacy, maths and personal and social skills, through guided play, specific learning programmes and adult led activities.
Ideally, you would have previous experience and/or hold qualifications in Early Years Education, in addition to being able to converse at ease with staff, families and professionals in accurate spoken English. Candidates should also have strong written and IT skills.
A commitment to continued professional development is essential, as you work alongside a supportive and enthusiastic team.
Requirements:
1. Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the Class Teachers,Year/ Phase Leaders and SLT.
2. Assist the teacher during the lesson by providing support for individual pupils in the classroom.
3. Teach groups of pupils under the direction of the teacher.
4. Interested in the development of young people and willing to be adaptable to support their needs.
5. Provide consistent and effective support for specialist teachers.
6. Provide support for individual pupils inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities.
7. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes for pupils and help monitor their progress.
8. Support pupils with emotional or behavioral problems and help develop their social skills.
9. Support pupils who do not speak English as a first language.
10. Encourage pupils to interact with each other in English.
