Beruniy Project

The Beruniy Project is set to be a key player in the renewable energy sector, focusing on innovative technologies and environmentally friendly practices. This project will not only enhance energy security but also contribute to a greener future.

The project will be located in the Republic of Karakalpakstan in the north-west of Uzbekistan, and will be developed as a ‘Build, Own, Operate, Transfer’ project. ACWA Power will take the lead in developing, financing, constructing, engineering, operating and maintaining the plant.

We are looking for a Admin & Procurement Manager who will:

  • An Admin and Procurement Manager oversees both the day-to-day operational and administrative functions of an organization, and the procurement of goods and services. They ensure efficient office operations, manage budgets, supervise staff, and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage office space, tools, files, and inventory.
  • Work with HR and Admin functions to implement necessary procedures as required.
  • Procurement: Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures.
  • Source, negotiate, and contract with suppliers.
  • Manage the purchasing process, including creating purchase orders and managing inventory.
  • Budget Management: Manage and monitor departmental budgets.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and provide guidance to administrative and procurement staff.
  • Auditing: Support auditing of procurement and administrative activities.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to support their needs.
  • Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and source new vendors.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in administrative and procurement processes.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for procurement.

As a Admin & Procurement Manager you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or demonstrable equivalent
  • 10 years’ experience in Admin & Procurement function
  • 3 years of supervisory role in Administration or Procurement department.
  • Skills and Behavioral Competencies:
     Thorough knowledge and understanding of admin and procurement rules
     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
     Ability to manage and work with people
     Self-motivated, critical thinker, tenacious and curious
     In depth knowledge of the plant and the processes
