Analyst & Media Manager

The Swiss Embassy In Kazakhstan is seeking a motivated and skilled Analyst & Media Manager to join their team. This role combines media analysis, project coordination, and communication in key sustainability sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze local and regional media, delivering insightful reports

• Manage topics related to water, energy, and agriculture, including sector developments, project coordination, and participation in fairs and conferences

• Oversee social media channels: content creation, monitoring, and performance reporting

• Maintain a network of contacts within ministries, diplomatic missions, media, opinion leaders, think tanks, and experts

• Translate relevant documents between Kazakh, Russian, and English

• Perform additional tasks and deputize colleagues as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in international relations, Political Science, Public Policy, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or related fields

• Solid understanding of national and regional politics, with a strong focus on water and familiarity with energy, agriculture, and economic sectors

• Strong analytical and reporting skills, able to produce comprehensive reports in English, French, or German

• Experience in media analysis, press monitoring, and managing social media channels (content creation & tracking)

• Good grasp of local and regional media dynamics and government-related issues

• Creative, proactive, and effective under pressure and tight deadlines

• Familiarity with public sector communication protocols is an asset

• Fluency in English, Russian, and Kazakh (spoken and written) is essential; knowledge of a Swiss national language (German, French, Italian) is a plus
